Like I said, it depends on the map --- and it's nice when you can combine sentinels when you're the only player or other players don't cooperate. You could even use the shield weapon on sentinels, which nobody uses now because it doesn't give you exp.

Besides, players could as well have several sentinels since it has become a game of sentinels anyway. You stand around and have your sentinel shoot down the monsters; when there are 6 or more players, the monsters don't have a chance even on maps where players can't hide at all. Resurrection makes it worse because the players keep resurrecting each other, and it doesn't matter when you die. After 20 waves, players start to get bored, and they eventually die out after about 30 waves because they are so bored they have become just careless. The monsters are easy to kill, but sometimes Woodstocks or Queens show up that do a lot of damage, killing off some players --- and since everyone thinks that they'll be resurrected anyway, they might find that there's no one left to resurrect someone.

It's ridiculous. Over 40 waves are overkill. I'd still like to win, but it doesn't get interesting for the first 30 waves, and I'm not very much inclined to go through that many waves for about 1-1/2 hours just to find out how to deal with the last 11 waves. We made it into wave 41 already and were killed off by a deemer Nali just by chance.


There were a lot of players yesterday for some time, but some of them were saying "too easy", "boring", "too many waves", and then they left after a while. Baetz and I remained, playing on Training Day: Baetz was in the tunnels shooting, I was in the hiding place with only my sentinel down there, talking to Beatz about this. After 15 or 20 waves, I looked at the score and found that Baetz had only 500 points more than I got: The sentinels were killing the monsters, so I said he might as well come up into the hiding place. He came up and went afk to take a shower, I went afk to make some tea. When I came back after 10 or 15 minutes, I went down two times to repair the sentinels. Baetz left at some time, and I was killed by a Queen in wave 29 or so while repairing my sentinel because I didn't care anymore after waiting so long. I'd have watched a movie while playing, but I was too lazy to turn off the sound in UT ...

Now what? Continue to "play" on Training Day like that because you get a lot of exp on that map? I need about 10--11k exp for a level now, but I think I got two levels on that map within those 29 waves, doing nothing. Allow players to have four sentinels to give them something to do with repairing them?


Don't get me wrong: I'm only saying this because atm it's not particularly interesting to play like this, and I think it could be improved upon. You need to come online and play a map or two when there are a couple other players playing and see for yourself.

Then how comes that other weapons than piercing allow me to kill them faster? It doesn't really matter because the sentinels kill the monsters ...

I wish that countershove would work not only when you're in a vehicle, and that retaliation would work on monsters ...

i put monstermanager on the server and removed satore, satore has problems in higher waves perhaps, it will adjust only satore-monsters in higher waves.
now the monsters can actually damage a player.
i lowered the damage from bender and the other boss monsters, even the dragons should be really really hard now.
but you get more xp now, too:-)

26 waves left
wasnt able to test it, only played for an hour today, need sleep.
11n.de / 11n.net is relaunched btw, you can login there, too
i imnported the threads from the forum, but the authors of the comments are gone.

Looks good :) I played on Frostbite and was killed in wave 8 by a Queen when I got trapped between my tank and the Queen when getting out of the tank. I got a few levels from those 8 waves ... I'll have to try later, don't have time now, but it seems to be a lot more fun than it was :)


PS: Yeah, it's nice now --- only the bosses, i. e. the flying dragons, eventually create stalemates because they seem to have unlimited lifetime. When there's only one player --- or a few players --- they can't kill the dragon, and the dragon can't kill them because they are hiding.

no chance even with a ESR-sentinel???
i always had this problem with teh dragons, that they would make nearly no damage, they flew around a sent for minutes and all players standing next to it shooting till theyre down. very boring.
when dragons would be so strong that they could kill sents fast it would be great, then i would reduce their 10.000 hp to about 3000;-)
a fast dragon makes high damage to players and sents, but can be fast killed, too.
that would be the configuration id like to reach for this handsome pets
